This week the Lord worked to bring the first financial provisions towards my August 2020 budget goal. How kind He is!
My church decided this past Sunday to give a portion of their Outreach/Missions fund to my Ministry Intern budget. Although there is a long way to go to reach the “$73,413 by August 2020” goal, such swift provision was a reminder to me of God’s goodness. We humans can worry about so many burdens, financial and otherwise, but all the time the Lord sits sovereign over all things. We are wee men – He is strong and merciful. I can’t wait to see how He will provide next…not just financially, but also how He will continue to provide His strength and mercy to us as we wait on Him everyday.
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Psalm 27:14
Ways you can pray:
- Chris and Katherine Davidson having been working with 20schemes to plant a church in Merkinch, Inverness (up in the highlands of Scotland). They have been facing discouraging times lately – please pray that God would be their comfort and that He would sustain them and give them His wisdom. Also pray that God would provide mature Christians to move into their scheme and help with the Gospel work there.
- Thank God for the financial provision I received this week! Please pray that God would help me trust Him to provide the rest of the sum if that be His will.
