“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison – that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.” – Colossians 4:2-4
WAYS YOU CAN PRAY:
1) Apostle Paul knew that not even prison walls could stop the message of the Gospel from going forth…so he asked God for open doors even while he was in chains. In a similar way, we can also pray that many doors for the Word would be opened in the schemes even during virus lockdown in Scotland. Nothing, from lack of funds to lack of face-to-face meetings, can stop the light of the Gospel. “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27) Let us pray that the Lord would continue to move powerfully and creatively in the schemes – that He may be honored!
2) As I’ve mentioned in past posts, about 2% of people in Scotland would identify themselves as being a Christian; but only 5% of that 2% are true believers (and not just “religious”). That means that 0.001% of Scotland’s population is made up of true Bible-believing Christians. That number is even lower in the schemes where generations of people have lived in tight-knit communities with little to no Gospel presence. (Click here to learn more.) The harvest is so rich, friends. But the laborers are so few. Please, please pray that the Lord would raise up laborers to go into His harvest in the schemes.
3) I am about 40% funded right now – I praise God for this! Would you join me in asking that the Lord would be glorified in my dependence on Him?
