“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” – 1 Corinthians 15:58

WAYS YOU CAN PRAY:

  1. I am about 20% away from being funded enough to move forward with going to Scotland this fall. (Praise God!) So that means that I will be able to move in October if a little over $15,000 is raised by August 1st, or, if it is not raised, I will continue pressing on in hopes of joining 20schemes next year. Would you pray alongside me in this? Please pray that I would not grow weary in this work of sowing and waiting, that God would provide if that’s His will, and that I would gladly accept whatever His will may be.
  2. Let’s pray for the pastors who are revitalizing churches with 20schemes. This is joyous, fruitful, hard, long-term work – let’s pray for wisdom and patience for them and their teams.

“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.” – Psalm 126:5-6

PHOTO AND VIDEO FOR THIS WEEK:

This is a pic of the kids club at Niddrie Community Church (pre-Covid, when they could meet together). Up front is Tasha who is the children’s/family worker at Niddrie (she also is in charge of some women’s work at Niddrie, as well.) Would you pray for Tash, for the other 20schemes youth workers, and for the Lord to work powerfully and creatively through them? It makes me excited to think of the Lord raising up a generation of kids in the schemes who get to hear the Good News.

Here is a really helpful podcast on why 20schemes not only invests in church planting but also church revitalization. “I always say to people when they ask me what’s the prayer request for 20schemes, I just say, pray for all of us – we all need wisdom – but particularly our guys who are in revitalization…pray that God would give them patience and wisdom – above, I think, every other gift – that’s what we need.” (24:12-24:32)

Joy to find in every station / Something still to do or bear,
