Come to earth to taste our sadness, He whose glories knew no end;

by His life He brings us gladness, our Redeemer, Shepherd, Friend.

Leaving riches without number, born within a cattle stall;

this the everlasting wonder, Christ was born the Lord of all.

Happy Christmas, friends.
Our Lord took on flesh and dwelled among us…us, the poor and needy and sinful. May we stand in awe this Christmas as we think on this great grace shown to us. And may we rejoice with exceedingly great joy! For to us, Merkinchers and all, a Son is given – that we may have forgiveness and life everlasting through Jesus. This is eternal hope.
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. …Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:14, 29
To you, Immanuel, belongs all the glory and honor and power! Be praised, Lord Jesus!
“Into flesh is made the Word, Alleluia! He, our refuge and our Lord. Alleluia!”
Merry Christmas,
Claire
