Friends,
If there is one truth that has been hammered into me through 2020, it’s that our Lord is dependable.
Although the nations rage and peoples fall, God sits enthroned over everything. He is still mighty to save. He provides everything His people need. He delights in hearing and answering His people. He will build His Church and the gates of hell with not prevail against it. He gives true, lasting peace to His people. He is the source of truth and wisdom. His Word is still sufficient. All those that He calls will come to Him. He is our strength. He is our very present help. He is near to the brokenhearted.
He is with us.
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” Psalm 121
Women’s Aid:
Across the street from my house is the Women’s Aid which provides housing to women who have suffered abuse and domestic violence. Right now the housing there is full. Would you join me this week in praying for the women there? Such a world of hurt at our very doorstep; may we have opportunities to share Jesus’ compassion and grace.
