“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing… For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit…” 1 Peter 3:8-9, 18
Ways you can pray this week:
ONE: Please pray for Chris this Friday as he does a funeral for a local lad who passed away last week. This man and his family are very well known in our community and so there is expected to be at least a couple hundred people from Merkinch coming to the funeral. Please pray for Chris that he might proclaim the Gospel with boldness and that the Lord would be mightily at work to bring about spiritual life.
TWO: There are so many people in Merkinch to pray for, but I’d ask for specific prayers this week for a local guy I’ll call MJ. Various people in our launch team have been investing in relationship with him over the years, and yet, because of various serious circumstances in his life, we were all struck last week by fresh urgency and earnestness in praying that he will give his life to Christ and be born again.
Thank you!
Thank you for continuing to sincerely pray for us and for the work of 20schemes. Your prayerful support is a precious gift of God to us. Pray for us that every day we would fix our eyes on Jesus! For He is truly worthy!
“Now is the time to pray, now is the time to fast, now is the time to encourage one another as we see the day drawing near. Now is the time to reconcile with those we have not forgiven, to love the unlovable, to share the gospel with that person we assume God won’t save, to confess that secret sin to a trusted brother or sister, to live more unreservedly for God’s glory. Now is the time to let our speech be seasoned with salt, to let our lights shine before a panicking world, to proclaim the excellencies of our Christ. Now is the hour to denounce worldliness, refuse apathy, and cling to Christ like never before. It is time to redeem the time while trusting God, for though the days are evil, he is forever good.” – Greg Morse

Stick close to Jesus,
