“Hello old friends /
There’s really nothing new to say /
But the old, old story bears repeating /
And the plain old truth grows dearer every day //” -Rich Mullins
Thankfulness:
This last Sunday our launch team joined the other Acts29 churches in the north of Scotland for a joint service together. It was a great encouragement to be with other believers who are faithfully following Jesus. As Chris said, God is using us, weak and few in number, for His wonderful purpose of building His church. It’s happening!
What was also encouraging is that the Bicycle Lady came with us to the joint service. A couple years ago there was no way she wanted to come near our church, and now she’s riding in our car 45 minutes to go to a joint service with us. Please keep praying for her. How I long for her to know Jesus.
For prayer:
I am continuing to seek the Lord about ways to reach out to the kids in our community. Please, would you pray that God would give me wisdom? James 1:5 promises that when we ask God for wisdom He gives “generously to all without reproach.”
Also, there’s been a bit more police action on our street this week than usual, and I feel the urgency of the gospel need here as well as such a great grief and love over the folks in our community. Our team has been setting our alarms for 10:09 to remind us to be daily praying Romans 10:9-10 over Merkinch. We are praying for people here to be saved – will you join us in asking the Lord for this?
“Unbelief will destroy the best of us. Faith will save the worst of us. He that believes on the Lord Jesus has eternal life.” – C.H. Spurgeon
Many, many thanks for your continued support and care and prayer. As always, I and all the folks at 20schemes believe in Gospel partnership. So if there is ever any way that I can in turn support you in prayer, please let me know. I might not be the quickest at responding, but I will certainly pray. 🙂 May we all keep our eyes on Jesus this week.
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim / In the light of His glory and grace,
Claire
