Dear friends,
I’m writing to you on a northbound train…heading back to dear Merkinch after some time with 20schemes folks in Edinburgh. Went to Ragged classes in person today and am always so encouraged to be reminded that although our wee team in Inverness is a northern outpost we are still connected to the wider Body of Christ and are not alone in this battle of pointing to the light of Christ in a dark and weary land. And it got me thanking God for you, too, because you also are apart of the Body…and although we are separated by place we are still united in Christ. So thank you for being a prayerful supporter of your brothers and sisters in Merkinch. I know prayer is hard, sweet, sacrificial servanthood, and I hope you know how honoring it is to our Lord and how encouraging it is to us. God in His sovereignty is working through your prayers to build His church here…what a mighty God we have.

Would you especially pray this week that the Lord would give us much boldness and discernment as we lovingly engage people in conversations about the Gospel? Every week I get to talk with people about Jesus, and I am very aware both of my need for God’s wisdom and for their need for God to open their eyes and hearts to the truth. It’s a shame that, because of safety issues, I can’t share specific names here for you to be interceding for, but I trust that our Lord will guide you as you pray for salvation in our schemes. To Him be the honour and glory today and forever.
Romans 11:36,
Claire
P.S. If you are able, here are also five ways you can pray for me this week…thank you!!
1. pray for an open door to reach out to kids at Merkinch Primary (elementary) School as I go to introduce myself to the folks there
2. pray for me to be a doer of the Word as I learn more through Ragged studies (James 1:22)
3. pray for me to be a good listener & to have God’s help to faithfully reach out to people with the Gospel
4. pray that I might trust God with the time I have and rest in Him when I feel overwhelmed
5. pray that I would be the aroma of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:15).
