Hi friends,

Would you pray for two folks in particular this week?

For their safety, I don’t want to give their real names here on the World Wide Web. So one person is a lady I will fondly call the Rabbit Lady for the reason that she has quite a few (and by that I mean MANY) pet rabbits. And the other person is a guy I will call our DLF as short for our Dear Little Friend…for some reason he reminds me of a dwarf in Narnia who goes by that nickname. Anyway, forgive my craziness in naming people, but hopefully it’s a way for you to easily remember them. 🙂

Both of these people have been around our church plant for years now. They have relationships with the folks in our team. And they’ve heard the Gospel and had many conversations about it. Somehow the Rabbit Lady, me, and the DLF started a game of dominoes at one of our cafes, and the three of us have kept it going for several months in a row now. We are all very different people with very different backgrounds. But for some reason there seems to be a common bond over this little game of dominoes. Even today the Rabbit Lady messaged me to say she had been excitedly thinking about our dominoes game at the cafe tomorrow. I don’t know these two people as well as other members of our team do, but I share a great fondness for them. I’ll be reading the Bible with the Rabbit Lady next week. And we all continue in prayer for the DLF; he’s one of those guys you worry about and wonder if you will see again because his life is so rough and chaotic.

Anyway, these two people have been on my mind today, and I would love it if you could pray for them. They are both in need of Jesus as their Lord, as their Saviour…as their hope. They’ve turned everywhere else, but only Jesus has the words of life. Pray that they will turn to Him and be given Living Water.

“Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life’.” John 4:13-14

Thanks, friends. God continues to encourage and sustain me day by day. I know that’s an answer to your prayers! So thank you for interceding. The work is long and hard, but the Lord Himself is with us. What comfort that is.
