Hi friends,
You know what I’m excited about today?
Today we are one day closer to Jesus coming back.
One thing I don’t like about these letters is that we can’t all start clapping and cheering together about that. Because what an encouragement that is!!
Other encouragements of this week:
Reading the Bible with a lady in our community and getting to see her reactions as she encounters the account of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke for the first time.
Seeing the Lord move in the heart of another woman here so that she is starting to ask hard questions about the Lord. And seeing her eyes water when talking about the trustworthiness of Christ and His promises.
Getting to be part of the Ragged School of Theology and spend every Wednesday afternoon being reminded again of the glorious Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
And finally, being daily reminded that the Lord Himself is with me. I start each day on my knees begging God for the grace and help to be faithful through another day. And He always answers with grace upon grace.
For next week… How about if you all send me questions you have about the church-planting ministry here, about 20schemes, about Merkinch, etc., and I can start to answer them in next week’s update? How does that sound? You are invested heavily in this work through your faithful prayers, and I want to try to partner with you the best I can even if we are miles away. We are in this together.
Thanks for praying for me and for the Lord’s work in Merkinch. I am praying for you and the labours that the Lord has entrusted you with today. May we work heartily for the Lord in the joy that He is with us, we do this for Him, and one day…one day soon…we shall always be with the Lord face to face.
