Hello friends,
Much gratefulness to you for all of your prayers for me over the last two weeks. I had some very intentional time away getting rest and spending time with my dear parents who visited me. Such a refreshment to my heart! Thank you for praying that the Lord would meet with me during that time… He surely answered those prayers.
I also know that over the last couple of weeks you all were praying specifically that I might receive direction over the decision of whether to stay more long-term with 20schemes or not. Thank you for joining with me in seeking God about this. I have been wrestling with this decision for a long time now, yet during the last couple of weeks I was away I received such clarity from the Lord as I spent time being in the Word and praying and seeking counsel. Really, really grateful to the Lord for so kindly directing me. He always provides just what we need and in His perfect timing. I can’t share today what the decision I have made is as I haven’t been able to tell all of our church family about it yet, but I will keep you posted as things unfold. I know that’s kind of a cliff-hanger, and I’m sorry! But I just wanted to heartily thank you for joining me in seeking the Lord in this. Means a lot to have you all walk with me in support and prayer through this season.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures. / He leads me besides still waters. / He restores my soul. / He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:2-3

For this coming week there are three things on my mind we could specifically pray for…one is that the Lord would knit into the DNA of our wee church a holy steadfastness and a deep love for one another. Another is that the Lord would save the DLF who continues to really wrestle with the gospel. And another is for a family from the States are hoping to join us in August if God wills for their visa to go through, etc – they’ve gone through the 20schemes assessments and are really keen to serve and love the people of Merkinch. Please pray for them in this transition…we are so grateful for the Lord hearing our prayers for more support! We consistently have more unbelievers than believers gather with us on Sundays, and we feel our need of more faithful Christians to join this work of spreading the hope of the gospel here.
I continue to pray for you, friends. Let me know if there are specific ways I can be praying for you or your church. May you rest in the finished work of Jesus this week!
Grace and peace,
Claire
