Friends,
Above I share a couple of stories about how God is moving in Merkinch, specifically in the lives of The Poet and the woman I call L. What comes to mind now is a verse from 2 Corinthians 1 which says, “You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.” Yes! God is so mighty. Thank you for drawing near to Him in prayer on behalf of all of us in Merkinch.
Also, this is my last month here in Scotland. Joy and sorrow! It is easy to be busy in all the tasks that must be done before I depart, but I so long that all this busyness will not distract me from what is most needful…listening to the Lord for how He would have me spend each day, and continuing to spend time to love the folks in Merkinch. Would you pray for me in this? And also for a steadiness in the Lord in the midst of so much change. All this transition needs much grace!
And lastly, next week is 20schemes staff week! This is where all the 20schemes pastors and staff and their families gather together for a few days to update each other on our church plants, to pray with one another, and to encourage one another. Would you pray for this time? Specifically for each person to be encouraged in the Lord and to be given the strength to carry on in faithful, joyful obedience to Jesus.
And I am praying for you, that you might grow in hope as you look to Christ this week. Stick close to Jesus,
Claire
