“We must stand to a full surrender, and say, ‘Let it cost what it may, I make no exception. I take all risks. I will follow Christ, the lamb, whithersoever he goeth, even should I die while I am following him.’” – C.H. Spurgeon
WAYS YOU CAN PRAY:
- I have been feeling rather drained this week, and I would so appreciate your prayers for God to strengthen me “with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy” (Colossians 1). Please pray that I wouldn’t waste this time of waiting (for visa approval and last-minute details to come through for a November 1 departure to Scotland); please pray that I would go deeper this month in learning humility and trust!
- I’ve been asked to speak to my church this coming Sunday about my role with 20schemes. This is such an exciting opportunity to share how the Lord is at work in the schemes. Would you be praying for me?
PICTURE FOR THIS WEEK:
This is Chris & Katherine Davidson who I will have the great joy of living and serving with in “The Ferry,” a scheme in the Merkinch / South Kessock area (just north of Inverness). Please pray for them!

“It’s my great pleasure to endorse the ministry of Chris and his work in the Merkinch and South Kessock. Where he is attempting to plant is one of the toughest areas in the whole of Scotland. If you are reading this and looking to support a solid, presbyterian church planting ministry among the poor, then look no further. Get your hand in your pocket and help the work out. Better yet, sell all you have, apply to 20schemes and come and help him in this difficult, but rewarding ministry.” – Mez McConnell
