Walked in heavy rain through the scheme yesterday to the point where the North Sea meets the River Ness. And when I got there the sky cleared, and God’s war bow lit up the sky. Such a beautiful, timely reminder of the steadfast love of the Lord. Thanks be to God that the Son suffered the arrow of the cross so that we can be sons and daughters. And thanks be to God that this good work He has begun in us He will bring to completion. What grace and freedom!

PARTNER ZOOM: THANK YOU!

Thank you, again, to everyone who came to our Partner Zoom this past Friday. It was overwhelming to see so many people committed to supporting us in prayer. The team here was buzzing after the call; it was deeply encouraging to know that so many people are walking alongside us from different places around the world. I know that not everyone was able to make it to the call, too, so a huge thank you for all of you who couldn’t make it but have been faithfully soldiering on in prayer for us. I hope you know how grateful we are for you!

Thank you all for your care, your support, and your partnership in the Gospel! You are a vital part of this work in Merkinch.

PRAY FOR LAURIE:

I’m very thankful to the Lord for the ability to meet Laurie* this week. Through a connection with another member of the launch team, I was able to knock on Laurie’s door to introduce myself and have a chat. She is extremely keen to get to know about the church, and she wants to go for walks with me during lockdown. Please pray for her that she would feel welcomed and valued by our team and that the Lord would open her eyes to the truth. And please pray for me that I would have grace and boldness and opportunities to speak of the Lord.

Please pray for our team, too, as we think forward into the next few months with the hope of being more engaged with people in our community as lockdown lifts in phases. Please pray for the Lord to give us ideas and wisdom – and a joyful, eternal perspective. As Jonathan Edwards cried, “Lord, stamp eternity on my eyeballs!”

Strength for today & bright hope for tomorrow,

Claire
