Oh Love that will not let me go / I rest my weary soul in thee / I give thee back the life I owe / That in thine ocean depths its flow / May richer, fuller be

Oh Light that followest all my way / I yield my flickering torch to thee / My heart restores its borrowed ray / That in thy sunshine’s blaze its day / May brighter, fairer be

Oh Joy that seekest me through pain / I cannot close my heart to thee / I trace the rainbow through the rain / And feel the promise is not vain / That morn shall tearless be

Oh Cross that liftest up my head / I dare not ask to fly from thee / I lay in dust’s life’s glory dead / And from the ground there blossoms red / Life that shall endless be //

A FEW WAYS TO PRAY:

Do you remember the lady that gave me her bicycle a few weeks back? The Lord opened up an opportunity for me to go for a walk with her this past Friday which was a great encouragement. On the walk she asked me why I had moved from America to live in Merkinch, and that was a natural opportunity for me to be able to tell her about the Lord and His work in my life. I was amazed at how open she was to hearing about the Gospel and how vulnerable she was in telling me about her fears and struggles with Christianity. Please continue to pray for this lady. Please pray that she would know the welcome and compassion of Christ and have eyes opened to the truth. I am praying, too, that she will take me up on my invite to come to our Christianity Explored nights once lockdown lifts.

God has also provided another family to come join us here in Merkinch! This is huge! Please pray for Graham and Tineke and their kids as they wait for housing to open up here so that they can join our team.

Our team had the idea of giving flowers to all the women living at Women’s Aid to let them know that we see them and care for them and are praying for them. This past week I made up the 25 little bouquets and walked them across the street to the shelter. Please pray that this little act of care would be a blessing and would even bear Kingdom fruit as we continue to reach out to these women.

I would ask for continued prayer for myself, as well, that I would delight with mighty joy in the Lord. This weekend I got to see some pretty stunning scenery a little north of Merkinch, and seeing the grandeur of the mountains helped lift my eyes in the midst of a wearying week to the great and mighty Lord who made heaven and earth…and who made a way by the blood of Jesus for us to approach the throne of grace and find much mercy and help in time of need (Hebrews 4). May I live in light of those mighty truths every day, and may those truths transform how I interact with the folks in our team and community.

Thank you for your continued support in prayer. I am praying for you and am grateful for each of you. Press on in the strength of the Lord!

Oh Light that followest all my way / I yield my flickering torch to thee,

Claire
