I just got back from a visit to Madras Court this drizzly Scottish morning. Just by walking into the court four people came out and had chats with me. Please pray for the Lord’s mercy on them, that their hearts would be soft to receive the Gospel. Also, another lad from Madras Court came to church for the first time this past Sunday; please pray for him!

Please pray for me this week as I continue to work and pray through how to reach out to kids and families in our scheme. Pray for God’s wisdom and help!

Please earnestly pray for more people to come and join the work here in Scotland’s schemes. Almost half the population of Scotland lives in the deprived areas known as housing schemes, but 90% of churches in Scotland are outside of these areas. And the percentage is even worse if you narrow that down to only Gospel-preaching churches. There is such an opportunity here for the spread of the Gospel! Please pray for us!

Last thing…I recorded our church family singing “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” on Sunday. It’s a terrible recording from my phone. 🙂 But at least you can hear the sound of God’s people in Merkinch. The last verse always stirs me: “I will not boast in anything: / No gifts, no power, no wisdom; / But I will boast in Jesus Christ: / His death and resurrection.” Amen and amen.

“Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” (Hebrews 13:20-21)

Christ has died, Christ is risen, and Christ will come again. Press on in the strength of the Lord!
